Amad aims dig at Arsenal fans on social media after Manchester United win at Emirates

The Red Devils winger was key to his side's win over the Premier League leaders

Manchester United forward Amad Diallo aimed a light-hearted jab at Arsenal following United’s 3-2 victory at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday night.

Diallo was named in the starting XI for the clash in North London, making his second appearance since returning from the Africa Cup of Nations in mid-January. He was substituted late on for Noussair Mazraoui as United looked to protect their advantage.

United recovered from an early setback to claim all three points, with goals from Bryan Mbeumo and Patrick Dorgu putting them in front before a late strike from Matheus Cunha sealed the win for the visitors.

After the match, Diallo responded to an Arsenal supporter on X by referencing the Gunners’ effectiveness from set-pieces this season.

Mikel Arteta’s side have scored 25 goals from dead-ball situations in all competitions, the highest total among clubs in Europe’s top five leagues.

“Your only hope is corner,” Diallo wrote.

Arsenal again demonstrated their threat from set-pieces during the closing stages, with Mikel Merino equalising from a Bukayo Saka corner in the final 10 minutes.

However, it proved insufficient as United regained the lead, allowing interim head coach Michael Carrick to secure his second win from his opening two matches in charge.
