Arsenal vs Chelsea
Match Summary
Arsenal came from behind to defeat Chelsea 2–1 at the Emirates Stadium, extending their perfect start to the 2026/27 Premier League season. Chelsea took the lead after only 77 seconds, when Morgan Rogers produced a composed volley from the edge of the area.
Arsenal responded with sustained pressure and eventually equalised through Kai Havertz in the 25th minute. The Gunners continued to control important periods of the match before Martin Ødegaard scored the winner shortly after half-time, finishing after Havertz’s clever movement created space.
Chelsea pushed for an equaliser late in the game, but Arsenal’s defensive organisation and several important saves from David Raya allowed the champions to hold on for a valuable victory.
